Fall 2020 Sweater Roundup

My most-worn item of the fall season is hands down a warm, cozy sweater. There’s something so effortless and classic about sweaters; they’re such a staple in my wardrobe and I reach for them over and over again. I love looking for new silhouettes, textiles, and shades every year to spruce up my closet and welcome new autumnal hues to get ready for the season 🍁 I’ve noticed that my most loved sweaters from years past are usually made from similar fabrics, either a merino wool, acrylic, or my favorite cashmere. I definitely can’t afford to buy cashmere all the time, but Nordstrom usually has a variety of cashmere sweaters under $100, like this dreamy cardigan. I also tend to gravitate towards similar styles like scoop necks or turtlenecks, the occasional stripe design, and chunky knits that have a lot of texture.

Because our fall/winter season is pretty short-lived, I don’t invest too much in my seasonal wardrobe since I can only wear cold-weather clothes for a few months out of the year. The sweaters that I do buy are usually $75 and under, and I try to stick to classic silhouettes that I’ll enjoy wearing the following year. I’ve rounded up some styles that I’m loving this season, like cozy cardigans and sweaters with unique details that will surely make an impression on your Zoom calls 😉 Let me know which ones are your favorite in the comments!
