A 70s Inspired Fall Outfit

I’m so excited because tonight is the 2-hour season 5 premiere of This Is Us! I didn’t think we would get any new episodes until sometime next year due to COVID, so this is an amazing surprise. I started watching the show towards the end of last year and immediately became obsessed! It was the reason that we got a Hulu subscription, actually 😂 #thanksbabe. I love diving deeper into the character’s lives and seeing all of the different trials and triumphs they go through - it’s truly an emotional rollercoaster but it’s so raw and real, and that’s why I love the show so much. I didn’t plan to post this outfit on the season premiere day, but it worked out really well because the entire time we were taking these pictures, I was definitely feeling some 70s Rebecca Pearson vibes! I can’t be the only one who loves those flashback episodes, right?

Everything from the mock neck, floral print top to the split hem, flare jeans were definitely reminiscent of some of Mandy Moore’s vintage looks on the show. I’ve always loved floral prints, and this one is no exception! I gravitated to these fall hues instantly and I also love that it’s more of a t-shirt material, so it’s lightweight and definitely a great layering piece to wear under cardigans or thicker sweaters. These jeans also continue to be a new favorite! Paige has been my go-to premium denim brand for quite some time now because I don’t have to sacrifice quality for comfort—I get both! The split hem on this pair is what drew me to them initially, and once I got them in the mail I loved how stretchy they were! Plus, I love that they are a classic dark wash - they’re also on sale right now at Nordstrom Rack for less than $80!

I opted for a more chunky necklace to stand out from the floral print and this one has quickly become a new favorite (it’s also on sale right now for less than $60!). I feel like it’s super versatile and while I usually opt for more dainty jewelry pieces, this is a fun way to do something different and switch things up! Will you be watching This is Us tonight? Let me know in the comments!
