A Cozy Waffle Knit Sweater for Fall

I can’t believe it’s already October! This year my concept of time has been completely out of whack and I still feel like I’m stuck in March. The only thing reminding me of what time of year it is is the weather that’s finally beginning to cool down. The mornings are cool enough to open the windows which truly is magical! ✨ I’ve also been noticing our AC doesn’t kick on as much during the day which can only mean that fall truly is just around the corner. I love seeing all the fall decor on display at Sprouts and Target, but since we still have tons of boxes scattered throughout our place I don’t feel as inclined to decorate this season. Hopefully we’ll know soon whether we’ll be moving to a new apartment 😊 Until then, I’ll celebrate the fall weather through my outfits!

This waffle knit sweater is another new addition that really gives me all the fall vibes! I love the color blocking of the mauve and pumpkin spice shades. I think the only thing missing from this look is a PSL ☕️🎃 One of the things I’ve loved shopping for during past fall seasons is jackets and denim. Since life looks much different this year compared to last year (I barely leave our apartment!) I have found myself gravitating more towards cozy sweaters that I can wear while working from home and also wear with jeans (occasionally) when Freddy and I go out. I’ve purchased a couple new pairs of jeans in the last 2 months, including this high-waisted pair that I just LOVE, but I definitely don’t wear jeans as much as I used to. I wore them practically every day to the office and now I’m lucky if I wear them once a week on the weekends. It’s crazy to think how much my “office attire” has changed in the span of 7 months, and I would love to be better about actually getting dressed in non-loungewear clothes in the mornings, but I won’t hold my breath ;)

Freddy and I have been talking about going on some fall adventures now that it’s actually enjoyable to be outside. I felt so cooped up this summer because there honestly wasn’t anything to do! But I told Freddy I want to go to a pumpkin patch and an apple orchard sometime this month! I’ve never been to an apple orchard but it looks like a fun activity to do while being outside 🍎🍏 We’re also hoping to head up north to Sedona or Flagstaff to see the gorgeous autumn leaves! Even though we don’t experience a true fall season here in Phoenix, it’s nice to know that we're only a couple hours away from some gorgeous fall weather. Happy Friday friends!
