A Perfect White Spring Dress for $30
I’m so excited that it’s officially spring now and that warmer weather is on the horizon! Despite the fact that most of us are self-quarantining and practicing social distancing, I’m still trying to find ways to get outside and breathe in the fresh air. I’ve been working from home for the past 2 weeks (which by the way I’m incredibly grateful for!) but I’m honestly starting to feel a bit stir crazy. We live in a 900 square foot apartment, so there really isn’t a whole lot of room to roam around. I never felt like our apartment was super small, but now that I’m home all day and all night, I’m really starting to realize the importance of taking small breaks throughout the day just to go walk around our complex for 5-10 minutes. It’s amazing what some fresh air and a change of scenery will do!
I’ve also been trying to “get ready” in the mornings even though I’m just working from our dining table. When I started WFH life, I would just roll out of bed and stay in loungewear all day. While that is awesome sometimes, I decided that I would feel more productive if I actually put on normal clothes before starting my work day. It’s like how the saying goes, “If you look good, you feel good.” I recently ordered some casual dresses from Target to lift my spirits and get into a spring mindset despite being cooped up inside all day. Something about putting on a fun dress even though I’m not going anywhere makes me feel like I can conquer the day and check all the things off on my to-do list. When I saw this tiered midi dress online at Target I felt like it would be something I could wear over and over again well into the late summer days of August and September.
The silhouette is more relaxed and free-flowing, but I decided to style it with this belt (currently 25% off!) to cinch in the waist and accessorize it a bit. I also paired it back to this straw hat (also on sale!) which I know will come in handy with the intense sun that we have here in Phoenix! This dress also comes in several other colors like blush pink, a pretty floral pattern and coral stripes, but something about a white dress for spring and summer feels so refreshing! This straw bag that I wore a couple weeks ago in this post will continue to be my BFF for so many warm-weather outfits. I can’t wait to keep using it and prove just how versatile straw bags can be! I will continue to share fun, light-hearted and inspiring content as we face the uncertainty that is looming all around us. I’m choosing to focus on positivity and joy.
