Breezy Summer Dress
With the hot summer days in full swing, lightweight dresses are my jam to help get me through. I bought this one from Lou & Grey last summer while we were in Los Angeles and fell in love with it! It was perfect for our beach days we spent there, but it also happens to be great for the desert, too. Even though I wore this dress a year ago, I felt like it was the perfect time to pull it out again to pair with my new summer slides.
One thing that I've realized during my blogging journey so far, is how demanding it is to keep up with the latest and greatest merchandise that floods our favorite stores on a weekly (even daily!) basis. It can be really overwhelming (for me) at times to try and come up with fresh new outfit ideas without re-wearing everything I already own in my closet. But, that also comes at a price.
I'm a very brand-driven person and I have my favorite designers that I know and love because I appreciate their design aesthetic and I know that I can trust the quality of their garments to last much longer than others. However, it's definitely not always feasible for me to buy clothes from my favorite brands because of the price point, which is why I've been looking to stores like Target, for example, more and more because I know my money will go farther, and I can still keep up with new merchandise without paying the big bucks. It's actually been a refreshing change for me to think outside the box and to get creative with my outfits and challenge myself to find ways to save some money. And, if I'm being honest, I can never walk out of Target empty-handed--it's the best!!
So, even though I might be an outfit repeater (I'm in good company w/ Lizzie McGuire) I'm okay with it :) This dress will always be one of my go-to's for a hot summer day, or a day at the beach if I get one of those anytime soon!
