The Missoni for Target Collection is All You Need this Fall

I’m always down for a Target run, no matter what time of day it is. They usually go a little something like this: I make a list, and then as soon as I walk into Target, I throw that list away and buy all the things! How silly am I to think that if I make a list of things I need to get, I’ll actually stick to only the things on that said list? Yeah, who am I kidding? On my birthday last month, Freddy and I went to Target after dinner (because it’s not a proper bday celebration without a trip to Target, am I right?!) and to my delight, I walked in to find a dozen designer collaborations happening all at once! There was clothing from, Proenza Schouler, Jason Wu, Rodarte and of course, Missoni! It was like Target knew it was my birthday and wanted to throw a party for me! My love for designer apparel began about 5 years ago and has only grown with time, so I was pretty ecstatic to find so many spot-on collaborations!

I really appreciate and admire the history of the Missoni brand, which was founded by the Missoni family in Italy in the 1950’s. Their knitwear designs have remained true to their unique style and point of view, and the geometric patterns truly stand the test of time. I knew I had to try on this dress the second I saw it and I absolutely fell in love with it! I even shared my fitting room try-on with you on my Insta stories and you all loved it too! The colors in this dress make it the perfect addition for my fall wardrobe, and I definitely plan to wear this with boots, sheer tights, and maybe layer a turtleneck underneath as the weather cools down. I’m also very impressed with the quality of this dress! To be honest, I wasn’t expecting the quality to be that amazing, considering that a normal Missoni dress costs at least $1,200, and this one is only $55. But it is incredibly soft and I feel that it lives up to Missoni’s standard of craftsmanship despite the low price point.

This collection also has some adorable kids clothes as well as home goods! I’ll be sharing how I re-style this dress for the cooler weather sometime in November when it’s below 80 degrees, so stay tuned for that!
