Rothy's Are My Latest Shoe Obsession
As the weather starts to warm up in the spring and summer, I tend to gravitate towards sandals or wedges with raffia or woven details. But let’s face it: nothing beats a pair of comfy, slip-on sneakers! If you’re scrolling through Instagram late at night like me, then chances are you’ve seen a sponsored ad or another blogger talking about Rothy’s. I first learned about this brand after I saw Meghan Markle wearing them (go figure!) and ever since them I honestly see them everywhere! I saw a few bloggers talking about these shoes, which intrigued me, and then once my aunt and some of my mom’s friends starting wearing them, I had to get a pair for myself to see what the hype was all about. Like I mentioned earlier, it wasn’t until my aunt and my mom’s friends were all wearing Rothy’s that I decided to jump on the bandwagon. Clearly they knew something I didn’t! It just so happened that around that same time, Rothy’s had just released their Spring collection. Low and behold, they had a pair of sneakers in my signature blush pink color—it was like the stars aligned and it was meant to be! I also ordered a pair of extra insoles in this fun tangerine color. Their insoles are completely removable, and for an extra $10, I thought it would be nice to have another pair on hand to interchange them as needed. The shipping was super fast and they arrived at my door within a few days. Now it was time to unbox and try them on!
Of course I fell in love with the color right away, and they were so comfortable the second I slipped them on! It’s true what they say on their website: no break-in period required. That is pretty amazing considering their shoes (and bags!) are made from single-use plastic water bottles. I never would have thought that anything this comfortable could be made from plastic! Not only do my feet feel amazing wearing these shoes for 8+ hours a day, but I feel good knowing that I’m supporting a company who is all about sustainability and helping the environment! I’m now a Rothy’s customer for life and I can’t wait to get my next pair. I’ve got my eye on the pointed-toe flats that Meghan Markle wore, but in a bright, poppy hue. What’s that you say?
