This Dress From Aimee Song's Collection Is Perfection
Happy Friday friends! I think I need to rename my blog to “Freddy’s Fashion Files” because over the last several weeks he has picked out numerous outfits for me and he’s SLAYING 🔥 First it was the straw & leather bag and now this dress!! When he first showed it to me I was like “absolutely not”. I thought it looked weird on the model and I really wasn’t sold on the colors either, despite the fact that they are pretty neutral which is normally right up my ally 😂 I liked the underwire bra detailing and that it was a fitted, midi-length silhouette, but I just wasn’t really sold on it based on the model photos. Not to mention the price was a little high for a piece I wasn’t in love with, but he insisted that I trust him and just order it, and if I didn’t like it I could return it. So I said, “okay, deal!” and we waited for the dress to arrive.
Spoiler alert: when I tried it on I fell in love immediately! It’s the perfect blend of sexy and chic; I love the underwire bra detailing in the bust and it feels very reminiscent of the corset trend that’s been circulating this season. I love how fitted the silhouette is and the knit fabric is really stretchy so it’s super comfortable! And as it turns out…I ended up loving the color in person 😅 The subtle olive green paired with the cream bralette top is so pretty and is perfect for someone like me who loves neutrals but wants just a hint of color. This was a great example of how sometimes online photos just don’t do a garment justice and you have to see it in person to truly know what it’s like! Thankfully these days most online retailers have a great return policy, but I definitely won’t be needing it because I’m for sure keeping this one! So all of that to say…Freddy, you were right 😉 I shall never doubt your fashion opinions again!
