A Fall Plaid Thanksgiving Dress

Thanksgiving week has finally arrived! It’s been so warm here in Phoenix that it still hasn’t felt like fall, but I think the temps are supposed to drop into the 60s on Thursday which will be amazing and I’m giddy with excitement thinking about what I’ll wear for turkey day 🦃 Fun fact: a few years ago we switched to eating honey baked ham on Thanksgiving! My Dad looooved turkey so much and I didn’t mind eating it every year, but I always felt the meat was a bit dry and idk it’s just not my favorite meat. When he passed away a few years ago we continued many of our cherished family traditions, but the turkey wasn’t one of them 🥲 (sorry daddy!!) Back to fashion, I’ve been sharing lots of fall outfit inspo over on my LTK shop but I’ve been so excited to share this plaid dress with you which would be the perfect combo of cute and cozy for Thanksgiving!

I’ve been finding some really cute pieces on Revolve lately and this dress was no exception. It’s from the brand Heartloom and I’ve seen their boho-inspired maxi dresses in previous summers but I was really excited to try a fall/winter dress from their latest collection. I typically wear an XS in dresses but I ended up going for a small in this style since they didn’t have an XS available and it worked out perfectly! I think an XS would have been too small so from my personal experience I’d recommend going up a size. The dress has two pieces of fabric in the front that you can tie into a cute knot which accentuates the waist and adds a fun detail to this cozy plaid dress.
