Neon Florals

I've grown very fond of this quote over the past few years. It's a great reminder for me when things don't go as I planned. It can be so much easier to complain when things don't go our way, but I'm reminded to be thankful for the beautiful things in my life (big and small) and to put greater emphasis on those things. Life is absolutely a gift, and I've felt the need to slow down and take that in more and more this past week. Work has been super hectic this past week, which has left me feeling a bit more irritable than normal (can I get an "amen" for anyone else who's ever felt the same?), and it can be easy to wish I had a more normal schedule, more time to spend with Freddy, more hours in the day to go run errands/do laundry, etc.

Simply wishing for those things won't make them come true, but I've been focusing on accepting where I'm at right now and being thankful. Thankful to have a job, a husband who makes me breakfast every Sunday morning, and a family that loves me. Obviously there is so much more that I am grateful for, but it's been nice to just stop and recognize the beautiful flowers in my life, rather than focusing on the weeds that sprout up from time to time.
