My Favorite Spring Items

The weather has been warming up a lot in Arizona over the past few weeks, which has me brainstorming ways to beat the heat (and still look stylish!). I am constantly looking for inspiration for outfits; sometimes I find it in a print or a piece of clothing. I recently stumbled upon this Veronica Beard dress and I love the pattern, as well as the fitted yet flowy silhouette. It feels like the perfect spring dress and thought it would be fun to see what it would look like with some other spring essentials I've been eyeing!

I'm not really a "hat lady" and I honestly have never bought a straw hat simply because I didn't think they were necessary to complete an outfit (or that I looked good in them!). I'm not saying every outfit needs a hat, but as summer approaches, I'm definitely more open to wearing hats as a way to protect my skin from the sun and stay cool. I love this wide-brim, lightweight straw hat with the metallic trim because it would go with everything! And it pairs perfectly with this round-handle straw tote. Of course, sunglasses are another great way to protect your eyes from the sun, and I love this polarized, Seafolly pair.

These floral printed sandals are so fun for the season and I feel like the pattern and colors play off of the dress well. You can also pair them back to your favorite pair of jeans and a lightweight blouse! I feel like they would easily transition from day to night, and the block heel makes them more comfortable for all-day wear.

A fragrance and a refreshing facial mist is a great way to finish off your look before you head out the door! I've been using this aloe and rosewater spray for a couple years now and I instantly feel revived after a couple sprays; it's the best thing you can buy for $7! Now, I don't own this Jo Malone fragrance, but it's been on my wishlist for years! I first discovered it while reading California Style Magazine a few summers ago and instantly fell in love. I think because I found it in C Magazine it reminds me of the California coast, which makes me love it that much more.
